The Anirban Lahiri Foundation (ALF) was created by India’s leading professional golfer, Anirban Lahiri, to grow and nurture the game of golf across India.
Our Mission
To create a clear, inclusive, and highly inspired pathway for aspiring golfers in India, culminating in/under Anirban Lahiri’s flagship Mentorship Program.
With the guidance of Mr. Vijay Divecha, one of India’s most respected golf coaches, and a passionate team of co-founders, ALF is on a mission to turn today’s beginners into tomorrow’s champions.
Why We Exist
Golf in India has always been a sport of limited access—few courses, expensive equipment, and little structured training for young talent.
Anirban’s own story is proof that dreams can rise above challenges:
• Grew up and rose through the ranks of the Indian Golfing system.
• Traveled by trains and buses across cities to meet his coach and participate in tournaments, fueled by his burning desire to excel.
• Matured from being a curious kid with a golf club to representing India on the world stage.
• Had to tackle all the hurdles and obstacles on his way to the pinnacle of the world of professional golf.
ALF was born from gratitude and a mission—to ensure that the next generation of Indian golfers doesn’t have to walk this journey alone.
